A Dogs Nose Knows
Using the power of the dog’s nose is the most environmentally friendly and efficient way of locating pipeline leaks. The Labs love what they do! Nothing is more rewarding than to see their excitement when they head off to work in the truck.
Bill and his crew of Labradors are available for Pipeline Leak Detection in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. |
Bill and his oilfield clients discuss what is required for the leak search and its location and environmental conditions. Safety is always first and foremost on everyone’s mind.
Pricing is broken down on a day rate and find rate basis. Mileage and Living Out Allowance, if applicable. Contact us for more information.
Most commonly asked question: Do you pay your dogs? Why yes, they get paid well. Nothing like a dog treat, a new ball and a comfy bed, not to mention the praise for a job well done and a scratch behind the ear is always welcome.

"I Met Bill about 3 years ago when I was doing Pipeline repairs. It seemed that I was running into a situation every once in a while where we would be having trouble getting a test on a pipeline. We would load the Pipeline with the Mercaptain solution and let sit for 24hrs. Bill shows up with usually 2 dogs, and after a quick Safety meeting and project review, goes straight to work. I have always enjoyed watching from a distance Bill work the dogs individually up and back the pipeline Right of way in all sorts of weather conditions, anticipating the dog to show “indication” of the pipeline fail area. It has been a great experience working with Bill as he travels from Weyburn Sask to my various locations in SW Sask. He is always on time and is in great contact throughout the project, obeying all the safety requirements put forth."
